Donata Noone

I was born in a little town called Grummo Appula, Bari (Italy): I came to the United States with my family in 1963 by way of Boat name the Vulcano. Arrived in New York City and grew up in a town across the Hudson River called West New York, NJ. I went to grade school and to Memorial High School. After graduating High School was married and moved to Houston, Texas where I gave birth to 3 children all boys. After 7 years I decided to move back home to New Jersey to be close to family. I raised all my 3 boys as a single mother and worked 3 jobs to make ends meet. I went to night school to learn accounting to better myself and give my children a better life. Making over $1000 a week for a female was huge and I never thought I would ever get any better than that. in 1991 I met Jack Noone. We dated & Lived together for 10 year until he popped the question and we got married in April 2001, went on our honeymoon to Ireland to visit his hometown and where he came from. When we arrived back home from our honeymoon, we immediately packed up and moved to Florida. We rented a small 3 bedroom home in Port Charlotte and decided that Port Charlotte was going to be our forever home so we purchased our home where I am still currently living in. In 2004 is when Hurricane Charlie came along and the housing marking just went downhill. I could not find another job, I got very depressed and talked about going back to New Jersey again. That was not an option for my husband. We had a long talk and discussed everything and he blurted out, why don't you go to Real Estate School and get your Real Estate License. I looked at him with a face like "Oh Heck no": I felt like I was too old to go back to school. My husband insisted that I could do it when I did not think I could. So I went to Real Estate School. I had passed my school test no problem but now was the State test. OMG that was the hardest test I've ever gone through. I took it in different cities thinking that the tests were going to be different, I even took it in New Jersey once as I had to go to New Jersey to be with my sister that was on the path to going to heaven. I failed it then too. Then after the 11th. time, I finally passed my test and could not have been more excited. After I passed my State Real Estate Test, I signed up with Coldwell Banker and worked in the property management division for 3 years and then another 12 years with a broker in Port Charlotte until I was let go. I was 64 years old already and I did not think I could ever have success again. I was wrong. My son came to pick me up that day and took me straight to see his Broker Jim Quinn and David Hyre who they were both so nice to me and told me that I would be great working for Keller Williams. So I signed on that very same day, that was in 2019. I was and still am currently with Keller Williams. I now have my own office space with a very successful Property Management division and Sales: I have never been so happy in my life and finally found my calling in life. Being a Realtor has given me many opportunities to be the best of me that I could be. Who ever thought that I would be successful at my age. Dreams do come true:
